Trzydziestoletni Paweł razem z ojcem, Zygmuntem, zajmuje się importem używanej odzieży z północnej Francji do południowej Polski. W drodze powrotnej z jednej z podróży służbowych zszokowany PAWEŁ odkrywa zdjęcie swojego ojca na okładce popularnego tabloidu. Pod zdjęciem napisano „zdrajca”. Zygmunt uznawany za bohatera walki z komunizmem zasłużony działacz „Solidarności”, nagle zostaje oskarżony przez gazetę o bycie tajnym współpracownikiem komunistycznej służby bezpieczeństwa o pseudonimie „Kret”.

Pawel, a Polish man in his early 30s, makes a living with his father Marian importing second-hand clothing from the North of France to Southern Poland. On the drive back from one of his regular “business trips,” he is shocked to discover his father’s picture on the cover of a Polish tabloid newspaper-with the word “traitor” next to his name. A certified hero of the struggle against totalitarianism, and a recognized member of the “Solidarnosc” labor movement of the 80s, Marian is suddenly accused by the paper of having acted as a secret informer for the communist regime.

Urodził się w 1969 roku, jego matka jest Francuzką, ojciec – Polakiem. Obecnie Rafael Lewandowski mieszka w Polsce. Studiował na paryskiej Sorbonie, na wydziale studiów kinematograficznych. Pracował jako asystent na planach filmów fabularnych, reklamowych i telewizyjnych. W 1996 roku ukończył słynną francuską szkołę filmowej La femis. Jest autorem filmów dokumentalnych m.in. „Cela”, „Cień na duszy”, „Przesłuchania”. Filmy Lewandowskiego nagradzane były na wielu festiwalach filmowych na świecie. „Kret” – koprodukcja polsko – francuska, jest jego debiutem fabularnym.

Born in 1969, his mother is French, his father – a Pole. He now lives in Poland. He studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, at the faculty of cinema studies. He worked as an assistant in feature films, commercials and television shows. In 1996 he graduated from the renowned French film school La Femis. He is the author of documentaries: "The Cell", "Shadow of thesoul", "Hearings". His films were rewarded at many film festivals around the world. "Mole" polish-french co-production is his first feature film.
